The behind-the-scenes story of a police investigation, solved by Crimewatch UK viewers.
A Party to Murder. In a Cardiff garden, workmen discovered a skeleton in a shallow grave. The police had just the bones and a few scraps of clothing to go on: no identity, no motive.
Among the experts they turned to was Richard Neave , a medical artist who had given a face to a victim of the King's
Cross underground fire, burned beyond recognition. Starting with a plaster cast of the Cardiff skull, Neave reconstructed the muscles of the face using modelling clay and cocktail sticks, eventually producing a likeness of the victim. A huge publicity campaign resulted in a name, and an item on Crimewatch UK gave rise to dramatic developments. Producer Liz Mills
