Five hundred fathoms below the Atlantic Ocean lies the greatest mountain range on earth - the Mid-Ocean Ridge - in which British scientists have discovered huge fissures that spew out copper, lead and even gold. Kate Bellingham talks live by satellite to the scientists involved in this extraordinary exploration project. There is also a report on the tiny French village of Grand, which has an excessively large number of water wells. Archaeologist Jean Paul Bertaux has uncovered the reason: a huge Roman temple complex that has been concealed for 2,000 years. With Carmen Pryce ,
Judith Harm and Howard Stableford.
