Full of high ideals and a passion for nature, Fossey arrives in Africa to research the rare mountain gorillas living in the Virunga mountains of south-east Congo. But, accused of spying, she is forced across the border into Rwanda where she establishes a new research centre and dedicates her life to dismantling the mass of misinformation about these creatures.
