The Isles of Scilly .
Some of the most remote islands in Britain. They lie 27 miles south-west of Land's End. Free from frost, famed for their flower industry, their subtropical gardens bathed in colour all year round. Little wonder that the Isles of Scilly, as Andrew Cooper discovers, became known as 'The Fortunate Islands'.

Pozzuoli: Death of a City with Anthony Clare
Question: who would ever live in a place where there are 25 earthquakes a day?
Answer: 30,000 Italians in the city of Pozzuoli on the coast near Naples.
For the last 15 years their city has been rising over three inches a month. Go away for a week's holiday and your house could be an inch higher when you come back.
Now the pattern is changing; the earthquakes are becoming larger ... and the people are starting to leave. After all, Pompeii and Herculaneum are just down the road.
