Second Semi-final
It will be a big surprise if Steve Davis, who won the UK title in 1980 and 1981, is not walking out to start his 17-frame match this afternoon. Already he has won two of the season's three major tournaments, and he was the hot pre-championship favourite, as usual, for a third title.
Ray Reardon or Jimmy White should be his opponent as the tournament approaches the final stages. David VIne introduces live coverage.
