Starring Barbra Streisand Michael Sarrazin
Pete and 'Henry' are a struggling young couple in need of extra money. When Henry (short for Henrietta) has the not-too-bright idea of borrowing from a New York loan-shark, things go disastrously wrong as the interest mounts and their debt grows. To earn money, Henry joins a group of housewife-prostitutes, later graduating to an underworld gang, until she is finally 'sold' to a modern-day cattle rustler. This lively comedy, which teamed Streisand and Sarrazin, owes much to the vintage screwball movies of the 1930s.
