William Conrad stars as private investigator Frank Cannon , a big man who walks alone in a dangerous world.

Press pass to jail - and death. Molly Stoner , a young woman news reporter, has vital evidence from a secret informant which can lead to a murder charge against Harry Gibbons , a vicious gangland boss. At the accused man's trial Molly is ordered by the Judge to reveal the source of her information or go to jail for contempt of Court. An underworld task force is determined to make sure that she does not talk - ever. The odds are against her. But she does have a friend called Cannon.
