Hugh Adam Crawford is one of Scotland's best-known portrait painters and a well-loved teacher. His wife, Kathleen Mann, has written and illustrated several books on her special subject, the history of costume, but at the age of 60 started to paint in earnest. They live in a former church at Blanefield, in Stirlingshire, and this film is as much about their beautiful house as it is about them.
