A post-war record entry of nine international equestrian teams have accepted invitations to compete at Wembley this week, including the reigning Olympic champions, Canada. They are joined by horsemen from the Argentine, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Italy, Ireland, Sweden and Holland.
The first major competition that they, and the best-known British names in show-jumping, contest is The Horse and Hound Cup
