Shane Rimmer who plays Compact's Corrigan has often acted this kind of sinister part. He himself describes Corrigan as 'a typical Madison Avenue type - there are hundreds of guys like this about you know.' In real life he has no ambitions to be a literary tycoon, but with talents in both the musical and the dramatic fields would like to combine the two by playing in musicals. As Corrigan he is far more ambitious and infinitely less pleasant. His efforts to replace Ian Harmon in the editor's chair of Compact are beginning to bear fruit as the finances of Compact's sister-magazine Impact seem to be breaking the personal resources of Ian himself. With Vivien (Patricia Haines) he is no less hard, and tonight again he enlists her help in his schemes by a particularly ruthless display.
