Talk by Dorothy Emmet, Professor of Philosophy in the University of Manchester
The second volume of Dr. Joseph Needham's work has now been published: it is concerned with the history of scientific thought. In this talk Professor Emmet discusses some of the analogies drawn by Dr. Needham between the ancient Chinese conception of the order of Nature and certain Western organic philosophies, particularly that of Whitehead.
