The Coussey Report on the Gold Coast by Kenneth Bradley , C.M.G.
In 1948 an all-African committee (the first of its kind in Africa) was set up under an African judge, Mr. Justice Coussey , to make recommendations on the political future of the Gold Coast. The committee has now submitted a unanimous report which has been largely accepted.
Kenneth Bradley , who spent over twenty years in administrative work in Africa and was formerly Under Secretary, Gold Coast, talks about the historical importance of this report.
