A serial version for broadcasting of Crosby Garstin 's trilogy 'The Penhales'
Read by Geoffrey Tandy
Ortho Penhale was not slow in following up his services to the woman he rescued in the coach on the Penzance road. He made several visits to Penzance, and discovered that his 'China Shepherdess' (as he called her) was the daughter of a wealthy shipowner in Bristol by the name of Barradale. Already he has met her twice, and in this instalment the romance goes much further.
