Count Alfred A. Hessenstein
Though Count Hessenstein is technically a Hungarian and is of German descent, his family has for generations been practically English. His grandfather was a morganatic son of one of George Ill 's sons-in-law, the celebrated Elector of Hesse who supplied the Hessian mercenaries for the American War. Count Hessenstein, who has made a special study of Central European affairs and modern European history, contributes frequently to British newspapers. He gave a broadcast talk on ' Old Vienna ' on April 5.
