Mrs. NORBERG : Lapland'
MRS. IRMA NORBERG is a Swedish lady, and is to give a talk on her native land in this series on December 14. Both these talks are being relayed in Sweden, where they are attracting considerable attention. Mrs. Norberg, besides writing for the British Press, is London correspondent of the Swedish daily paper Göttborgs Handelsoch Sjöfarts-Tidning and of the weekly Vecko-Journalen. She has also written a Swedish Guide- Book to London and the British
Isles, which is to bo published- this winter. She spent part of last summer in Lapland, where she acquired an intimate knowledge of the curious customs and old superstitions of the Lapps. These people, who inhabit the northern part of Sweden, are like North Asiatic tribes in appearance. They are mostly nomads, who count their wealth by the number of reindeer they possess.
