' The Delicate Child'
DR. H. C. T. LANGDON is a Medical Officer to the Board of Education, and is in charge of homes for delicate children. He is therefore in touch with modern methods of dealing with a problem that has only been properly understood in recent years. Delicate ' children, if they are not to suffer- all' their lives, must be handled with the greatest possible care. Dr. Langdon in this talk gives advice about this; and in his second talfe next week ho will consider the important question of whether it is, possible to protect children from colds.

Mr. LEONARD WOOLF : ' Are we becoming Citizens of the World ? '
THE time is past when the Englishman could consider himself merely a citizen of Great
Britain. Today he is hopelessly entangled in the affairs of the world. Nationalism and Imperialism have grown in the past; today they are in conflict with democracy. The British Empire,' indeed, is a difficult problem ; so is the revival of Asia. Mr. Woolf discusses these problems, the effects of the War, and the possibilities of the League of Nations. Next week he examines modem changes in the social ideals of the community.
