When Maud French met Richard Ful'ton by accident in Sally's shop, he refused to &peak to her, which made Sally very angry; and Maud left in a huff. Mrs. Dalle continued to act as Dr. Dale's secretary for the time being. She learned that Mrs. Leat'hers's husband was involved in the burglary at Parkwood Lodge. Mrs. Freeman visited Scotland Yard and was able to identify the man she saw at the Grand National. Later in tihe day she met Sally's ward. Trevor Marsden The reper'ory company at Melburgh closed down and Jenny arrived at Sally's tiat very distressed and with very little money; as Salty could not put her up she went to a Church hostel. David was very happy when he was given the chance to illustrate a children's book
