In last week's RADIO Times Edgar Holt wrote of this play that it was ' an interesting variation on the familiar theme of ex-officers in civilian life.
' This time there are two former officers, one who has never recovered from the accidental death of his young wife and the other who is still suffering from disappointment at having failed to rise to the command of his regiment. It is a play to be enjoyed for the clever characterisation of both parents and children.'
