A story about blind children with other handicaps
Written and narrated by Stephen Grenfell
Condover Hall is a beautiful Tudor house situated outside the village of Condover, near Shrewsbury. Today it is the home and school of seventy-five blind children-whose blindness is only the worst of many handicaps to be overcome. This programme tells the story of two such children who are accepted by the Royal National Institute for the Blind for training, education, and habilitation.

Its aim, to quote the words of the Royal Charter of 1940, is to promote ' a wider knowledge of Our United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and other countries for the purpose of benefiting the British Commonwealth of Nations ...' In this broadcast a number of people with first-hand knowledge of the Council's work express their views of its achievement.
