There are several ancient hymns of the Christian Church which are written in the same style of poetry as the Psalms and are usually chanted in the same way. These are known as the Canticles. Today you hear about their history and their place in the worship of the Church, and Trevor Harvey talks about the music, sung by the BBC Singers.
