In this first programme Mr. Pepys sees morris-dancing in the streets of London, sings a chorus with royal musicians, feels sick when a certain young lady plays on the harpsichord, hears ' Greensleeves ' on a warship is present at a court ball, and watches Charles II eat to the music of violins.
