No. 56--0live Fox
The interviewer, Wilfred Pickles
Produced by Richard North
It is probably through her long association with Clarkson Rose , both in the double act, ' Fox and Rose ', and in the famous ' Twinkle ' show that Olive Fox has commanded her popularity with her public. Long before she joined Clarkson Rose , however, she played the music-halls as a single turn, and, indeed, started her career in songs at the piano with a pigtail down her back.
Olive Fox has played in Repertory at various times, and was one of a number of stars who formed the chorus in the Me and My Girl excerpt at the last Royal Command Variety perfprmance at the London Coliseum. She has been broadcasting for years.

(bass)
Norman Allin , possessor of one of the finest bass voices in England, has been singing since before the last war. He made his first appearance at the Proms in 1914. In that same year he was engaged to sing the principal bass rôles at the Norwich Triennial Musical Festival, and two years later Sir Thomas Beecham engaged him to play principal bass parts in his Grand Opera Company. Since then his rise to fame has been rapid.
