Born at Bristol, Dennis Noble began his career as a chorister in Bristol Cathedral. He served in France in the last war in the Royal Bucks Hussars, was severely wounded, and eventually joined Leslie Henson's concert party at Lille. He has sung in opera and oratorio all over the country.
