More fun with word sounds - with different meanings
The teams will be picked from Come Out to Play, the new show at the Palace Theatre, Manchester, and will include Jessie Matthews and Sonnie Hale.
Members of the teams will be questioned: How do you like it? When do you like it? Where do you like it? The object of the game is to confuse the questioners by mixing up the meanings of one word sound-for instance, 'plain' and 'plane'.
Born in America, Jack Harris played the violin in small bands out there and then formed his own unit. He came to England and made a great success at the Embassy Club, afterwards playing in practically all the leading hotels and clubs in the West End, including Grosvenor House, the Cafe de Paris, the London Casino, and Ciro's.
Last year he began a series of broadcasts to America for NBC, being the first British band to do so. At the present time he is playing at the London Casino.
