This little play is an exercise in sheer horror—a study of a brutal murder and the retribution that pursues the murderer. It was originally broadcast in America in the famous ' Lights Out' series, NBC's Grand Guignol of the air. Val Gielgud brought it back with him after a visit to America, and it was broadcast in the National programme in September, 1938.
