Highlights of this morning's second Great Manchester Run, a 10km event in which 16,000 runners took part.
The men's elite race saw twice Olympic 10,000m silver medallist Paul Tergat attempting to defend his title against a field including fellow Kenyan Sammy Kipketer. And in the women's elite race, Berhane Adere of Ethiopia was back to defend her crown, against London Marathon winner Margaret Okayo of Kenya, Australia's cross-country world champion Benita Johnson , and Ireland's Sonia O'Sullivan.
