A dangerous mountain lion is on the prowl: it's a cunning enemy and a killer. The young son of a local rancher is all set to go after the killer cat with his gun, but his father sternly forbids it. The 'Whirlybird' helicopter lands with an experienced hunter, and he and the pilots are warmly greeted by the rancher; but when they get back to the house the youngster has disappeared!

Introduced by Peter Scott
at 9.30

Earlier this year Peter Scott, with Tony Soper as cameraman, made a voyage to the Galapagos Islands, the story of which will be told in seven programmes.

The first shows their visit to Tortola in the Virgin Islands on their way to Galapagos. Here they filmed a number of lizards, scorpions, frogs, crested hummingbirds, bananaquits, and pelicans, together with large quantities of fish taken with an underwater camera. While there, they visited the Sage Mountain, a Nature Reserve, 1,700 ft. above sea level.
