There is laughter in the valley when Dodsworth, a boy scholar from the city, comes to stay with Ricky (left) [photo]. Dodsworth is mighty smart about geology and gold mines but not so smart about horses. Champion, a hold-up, and a race to the rescue combine to teach him a lesson.

The author of tonight's play is one of the foremost television playwrights in America today, and in "Dark Pilgrimage" he has written a gripping and unusual thriller. Set in the New Hampshire home of General Bell in the year 1911, it is built around the General's three daughters, Emily, Charlotte and Ann. Charlotte's husband has been murdered some time before the play opens, and although the case was then though to have been solved, Charlotte has been receiving a number of anonymous letters accusing her of being a murderess...

One child in every 700 born in Britain today is a mongol. Mongolism is a common form of mental deficiency presenting a picture of delayed physical and mental development. Recent research suggests that this condition is caused by a defect in the chromosome balance within the human cell. The significance of this and the well-being and upbringing of these children is discussed by a consultant psychiatrist, L. S. Penrose, M.D., F.B.S., Professor of Eugenics, University College, London and a Medical Superintendent of a Mental Deficiency Hospital.
