A report by Aidan Crawley.

Last year Aidan Crawley and Anthony de Lotbiniere travelled thousands of miles in a journey through the Commonwealth. Their aim was to make a series of television programmes assessing the influence and prestige of Britain in a number of countries who are emerging, or have emerged, from British Colonial control. The seven programmes in which they reported their findings are now being repeated. Tonight's programme concerns ourselves and our rule in West Africa today.
