This film, made by the Shell Film Unit, is a complete record of the Society of British Aircraft Constructors' Show held at the Royal Aircraft Establishment's airfield at Farnborough in Hampshire, at the beginning of September 1949. Besides showing almost all the air-craft on the ground and flying overhead the film also contains a large number of shots of the aircraft off the ground, taken from accompanying machines.
A canadian cartoon film by Norman McLaren made without either cameras or recording apparatus. The picture and the 'sound' are drawn on the film itself.
