His quintessentially 60s hits include Catch the Wind, Colours,
Sunshine Superman, Mellow Yellow and Hurdy Gurdy Man. The programme recalls the media's early - and ill-conceived - dismissal of Donovan as a Dylan clone, his heyday with producer Mickie Most. and his 1968 trip to India with the Beatles to see the Maharishi.
