Radio 2's occasional series exploring the careers of maverick music producers continues with Grammy-winning Turkish-American arranger/producer Arif Mardin, who remains best known for his collaborations with Jerry Wexler and Ahmet Ertegun at Atlantic Records during its 60s heyday. Mardin's clients include Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, David Bowie, Bette Midler and Norah Jones.
