A recital given by the American soprano Christine Brewer with pianist Roger Vignoles at the Wigmore Hall in March. The programme includes songs by Strauss and Schoenberg, along with some less well known Mompou and Clara Schumann. It finishes with what Brewer calls "Flagstad favourites", a set of songs performed by Kirsten Flagstad during her American recitals of the 1940's and 50's.
Presented by Stephanie Hughes, who talks to Brewer about her voice and career.
