EJMoeran's friendship with Philip Heseltine (alias Peter Warlock ) led to a rumbustuous three-year sojourn in a shared house in Eynsford, Kent. Warlock's influence over Moeran developed not only his interest in Delius and the Elizabethan composers, but also his tendency to drink, which was to become a serious problem in later life.
