Sarah Walker with early works for string quartet by three American icons - La Monte Young, Morton Feldman and Alvin Lucier - whose works are played by the Arditti Quartet, as is Jay Alan Yim's more recent Autumn Rhythm. And, by contrast, three "machine-pieces for unusual combinations" by John White.
