7.30 Mass of Thanksgiving. 21 November 1631 was a day of public rejoicing in Venice, marking the end of the plague. This programme attempts to re-create the Mass of Thanksgiving held at St Mark's that day, with vocal music by Monteverdi and Rovetta, and instrumental music by Fantini, Scaranl, Usper and Marinl.
