The chemical messengers called hormones appear to play a profound role in making us human. They are directly involved in our capacity to feel emotions, tor example. Yet these same chemicals have recently been discovered in the simplest single-celled creatures by DR DEREK LE ROITH and his colleagues at the University ot Cincinnati.
In conversation with Professor Colin Blakemore , Dr Le Roith discusses the implications of his findings.
