On a cold winter's day in London 1963, the American poet
Sylvia Plath committed suicide at the age of 30. An attractiveandhighlytalented writer, she had struggled with her inner despair but finally lost the will to live.
From an early age
Sylvia had hopes and ambitions for herself but could never quite accept defeat or rejection. Her relationship with her mother was one of mutual dependence and the hundreds of letters to her which she left behind provide a fascinating insight into her character. Directed by CHERRY COOKSON
