Opera in three acts byWagner
(Sung in German)
Wagner composed his first opera at the age of 20 but it was never staged in his lifetime. This production is probably the only complete performance the work has ever had. Although the influence of Weber is never far away, the score is no apprentice work and shows many of the characteristics of the mature composer.
