Around the turn of the 18th century the group settled in London owing to the unusually rich concert life, adventurous Jiublishing houses, a piano ndustry unmatched in quality and efficiency and a fashion for continental art and music; and this led to a school of modern piano playing and composition which in turn influenced music in Europe, including that of the young Beethoven.
