Some 200 drawings have recently been discovered on the walls in and below Michel angelo 's Medici Chapel in the Church of San Lorenzo in Florence, some of them thought to be by Michelangelo's own hand. John Shearman , Professor of the History of Art in the University of London, considers their potential importance to Michelangelo studies.
