' Science as a group of subjects could offer an education in thinking, an education in communication, and an education in human creativity, originality and imagination. We should not see it as a training for a profession.'

George Moore is generally remembered as the prolific Irish novelist, playwright and essayist. His volumes of verse. Flowers of Passion and Pagan Poems. are now largely forgotten - were, Indeed, suppressed by Moore himself and never reprinted.
