Wilderness or Paradise Enow,
On a recent visit JOHN ardagh saw Iran in many different moods, new farm corporations, ancient mud-hut villages, plutocratic Teheran and graceful Shiraz, schools for nomads and big steel mills. He considers the Shah's declared ambition to transform Iran in five to ten years into the equal of any advanced Western society, not only industrially but socially.
