When Janacek's opera The Makropulos Case was broadcast recently. Sir Cecil Parrott talked during the interval about the cultural milieu in which Capek and Janacek collaborated in this work. This second hearing also includes an account of the V plus W partnership which produced the famous Vest Pocket Revues of the 20s and 30s.
