A series for those who have recently married or who hope to marry soon.
The Schofield Report in 1965 found that 20 per cent of boys and 12 per cent of girls under nineteen had experienced premarital intercourse. In our society today there is a wide spectrum of opinion on sex before marriage ranging from a complete veto to total permissiveness. Young couples have to make their own minds up on this question, for it may later have an effect upon their marriage.
The Consulting Psychiatrist talks to Kenneth Barnes and A Psychoanalyst and to some young people about their premarital experience.

A conversation between J. G. BALLARD and GEORGE MACBETH
J. G. Ballard , author of several novels and books of short stories, discusses with George MacBeth his view of structure in the novel in relation to a dissatisfaction with traditional linear narrative techniques. He argues for a new kind of forward-looking narrative designed to explore depths and levels rather than history.
