Derek Parker follows the trail of an average 'pinta' from Donation Centre to laboratory, looking at the early history of blood transfusion on the way, and examining the present state of the service.
Helping him follow the trail are Dr Tom Davies , Director of the North
London Regional Centre of the Blood Transfusion Service, members of the staff at the West London Centre, and various blood donors - including actor and comedian, Kenneth Williams.
