At about the time of the birth of Christ, King Herod ordered the building of an immense harbour at Caeasarea. Excavations of the submerged remains have produced many unexpected findings - including evidence that the builders knew how to make concrete which would.harden underwater. Anthony Smith visited Caeasarea to join the archaeologists diving for the past.
