In 1922. shortly after his heroic days in the Royal Flying Corps (recently recalled in Sagittarius Rising in Story Time), Cecil Lewis became one of the founder members of the BBC, together with John Reith.
Today, he is the only survivor of those original pioneers. He looks back on 60 years of broadcasting and draws one or two surprising conclusions about what he calls an 'all-powerful monster'.
