A crucial Euro 2004 double-header for England this week begins with a trip to Macedonia (kickoff 5.30pm).
With Liechtenstein coming to Old Trafford on Wednesday, captain David Beckham knows that his side must target a maximum return of six points ahead of the probable group seven decider away to Turkey on 11 October to realise their dreams of competing in Portugal next year.
The last time the teams met, Sven-Goran Eriksson's team were held to a 2-2 draw. Since then, players such as Wayne Rooney have added renewed vigour to their qualifying campaign, particularly in the 2-0 win over Turkey in April.
