Children's Hospital 8.30pm BBC1
It's the final programme in the series but it's also the 100th edition and there's much to celebrate. One of the reasons for excitement at the children's hospital this week is that the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are coming to dedicate the new building. However, as usual, the most uplifting aspect of the programme is the triumph-over-tragedy stories.
Among those featured this week is a newborn baby who has heart problems and is in need of immediate surgery to save his life - it will undoubtedly have you reaching for the hankies even though you know it will turn out all right in the end. There are some heartwarming updates too, such as the 14-year-old survivor of a road traffic accident; Leanne [text removed] was in a coma for three months and in hospital for seven, but is now able to go home.
With Peter Sissons.
